2022 Week 18: It all comes down to the swishy fishies

Posted on by • 2 comments

Happy (Belated) New Year Footballers,

It all comes down to this.  Dan goes into this final week with a two point lead over Stephanie and a four point lead over Molly.  Because of their picks, Molly at best can only make up 3 points, so she cannot catch Dan.  That brings it to Stephanie.

By my very amateur analysis, it looks like if the Dolphins beat the Jets, Cleveland beats Pittsburgh and Green Bay wins, that Stephanie can pull ahead by a point. Should keep it interesting, at least for a little bit.

For the rest of us, there are family grudge matches on the line – I am just a point away from beating Kevin.  Violet has been gunning for Heidi for quite some time, and I am hoping to see a Madison victory dance if she crushes the records of both her parents.

Anyway, enjoy the games today! It has been a fun season. By far, the best part of this whole sha-bang is hearing from all of you each week.  But, especially Bill, who comes up with things like “Swhishy Fishies” to describe the Dolphins.  Thanks to everyone for getting playing along.

(GO STEELERS!!!!!!)

  1. Thank you for all you do with this Emily! Love seeing all the pics and being able to connect with everyone!

  2. Thanks again Emily. This little activity is so much more than picking football teams it is so much more about bringing a disparate group of people together each week. While my knowledge of football is obviously inadequate for this exercise my knowledge of people and families grows! Your friendly humor, stories, along with the fun observations from the competitors, pictures of turkeys, trees and old family photos makes football seem almost irrelevant. Thanks again and I look forward next year to see if a Nemmers can ever win the Nemmers Blog!! The bottom line is we are all winners.
    Love Dad/Charlie
