Hello Footballers,
What a crazy week we had! With two upsets, there was lots of movement in the pool. Congrats to Fletcher, Mary, Adam and Dan for their big week. These strong showings put Fletcher into a tie with Charlie H for first place, with Mary and Adam right on their heels (along with Dana, John, Bill and Calvin.) And, Dan moved up a few pegs as well. I think that all of us can agree that we are glad we weren’t watching the Colts 49ers game in person: so. much. rain!
This week, it’s a shame that Green Bay and undefeated Arizona play on Thursday (I don’t like picking the Thursday games, as we are all not ready to be picking yet). So, instead, we are gonna get a little personal:
Steelers v Browns
Football Team v Broncos
Cowboys v Vikings
Also, Sunday is Halloween – so I encourage you to send your favorite Halloween memory and/or photos. Here’s a photo and a story for inspiration. This is a photo of Iron man and Ultra Violet from about 8 years ago (with a guest appearance of our lovely tree that has since fallen over). My favorite memory was from a different Halloween, when Kevin took a final lap with the kids while I handed out candy at our house. When they came home and dumped out their buckets, Vi had a really nice pair of sunglasses in her stash. “Where did you get those?” I asked. Violet replied, “We were at a house with no one home that had a bucket of candy by the front door. Dad said we could go up to a house and take something from the porch. They were on the porch.” Trick or treat indeed.
Happy Halloween and GO STEELERS!!!!!!
