Hello Footballers,
I hope you had a good weekend. The weather is still pretty hot here, so we spent more time napping and watching sports on TV than we did hanging out in the yard…but hopefully soon we’ll see a few days in the 80s.
Overall it was a solid week. Dallas blew the doors off, and most of the other wins were pretty solid as well. Only one strike this week, and that went to Violet for picking Tampa Bay, who got outscored some 20+ to 3 in the second half, only to lose by 1. A heartbreakers for sure. It also means that I am the last person in the house to not have a strike. Hopefully I can hang on to that and not do anything stupid.
This week’s Thursday game is a barn burner – Eagles v. Packers. If you’re gonna go with that game, then I need your pick by kickoff. Otherwise, you know the drill. (End of the day on Friday.)
In the meantime, here’s a few snaps of some of the scrum players making the most of their nights under the lights on the football field. Molly is 5th from the right in the picture of the cheerleading squad from Champaign, Il, Gabe is #28 and Calvin is #8 at their respective football teams out in Florence, CO. Football does bring people together. Thanks to Molly and Stephanie for sending in the pics.
