Well hello, Footballers,
I hope you all had a good weekend. I, as you can see by this week’s results, did not. With the Falcons, stupid, stupid, give-up-a-17-point-lead loss, I have been eliminated from the pool. Sadly, Heidi has suffered the same fate. Sorry, Heidi! And, Gerri and Howie have both sustained their first strike. On the bright side – there are still 7 people without a strike. I think as a group, our pool is getting smarter….I’m just sorry I didn’t get in on that action.
Another thing – the Sunday night game ended in a tie, and that reminded me. Let’s talk about ties for just a second. They are rare, but they do happen. To be clear, your team must WIN for you to advance. If your team is in a game that ends in a tie, a tie is very much NOT a WIN. It is a tie. So, you will receive a strike. Ok. This week’s Thursday night game is Jaguars vs. Titans. If you are bold enough to go with that one – I need your pick by kick off. Otherwise, by Friday, end of day. We’ll be at a science fair all day Saturday (try not to be jealous), so it will be harder for me to track down the stragglers.
