Well, with all the unlikely things that happened this weekend, it isn’t surprising that somebody got eliminated. But having Manning choke in Denver to eliminate Kevin AND Houston becoming a formidable team against Cincy to eliminate Tyler was something that I bet few of us saw coming.
So, what that really means is – we have a winner! Congratulations to Jim Mantooth for winning the 2015 Football pool. Turns out that several of us will be together in San Antonio next weekend, so we’ll award him his winnings then….

Some might suggest that the winning of the pool is related to one’s family, or one’s luck, or the color of the uniforms, or maybe even (God forbid) knowledge of the game; however I believe the evidence is strong in favor of those who are familiar with leather helmets, don’t believe real men wear gloves to catch a football, and that double coverage means two napkins when eating nachos. Congratulations on the application of senior perspectives to your victory. I feel that I must be just about one pool away from victory (like the Cub fans say “wait till next year!!”)

Well said Charlie! I credit my recent success to years of experience, my new rating system, and opening up a big can of luck. My condolences to Tyler because I thought he had a lock on Monday night and a slight edge on available teams next week. I don’t think he’ll be having lunch with J.J. Watts this week.
