Week 13 wrapped up with a couple of nail biters, one unexpected blowout, and four perfect scores. Cassie, Gerri, John, and Kevin (!!) took home the honors this week. As an aside, I must say that getting a five is pretty exciting. I’m not sure why I don’t do this more often.
In the season leaderboard, Whoosie maintains the top spot along with a two-point margin. Cassie is trailing close behind with Gerri and Gabe tied for 3rd place. But I’m sure the main takeaway for everyone is noticing that your commissioner has crossed over to the upper half of the standings, tied for 12th. I think the oxygen feels a little richer at this altitude. I hope I can stick around for at least another week before being banished back to the scrum dungeons.

Finally, I want to honor my mother-in-law Judy who passed away this past weekend. I learned a lot about family tradition from spending 25 years of vacations with the family and learned what it means to truly decorate a home for Christmas. She will be sorely missed.
